The Orange Honey Blossom Soak combines hibiscus and orange blossom for emotional calm and balance with calendula and honey for skin-soothing and moisturizing benefits.

Life can be busy, messy, stressful, and oftentimes turbulent, but at The SoakingPot Infusion Spa®, we’ve created a sanctuary for our guests to find temporary escape. We offer a selection of thoughtfully-crafted foot soaks that aim to provide calming, invigorating, soothing, or balancing effects.

The Orange Honey Blossom Soak is one of our twelve signature soaks and is an excellent option to alleviate the stress and tension of the body and mind. This Soak provides an aromatic, calming experience that is ideal for a moment of peace and tranquility.

Ingredients

As with all our Soaks, the Orange Honey Blossom is carefully curated with high-quality ingredients. The ingredients of this particular Soak include Himalayan salt, Dead Sea salt, Hibiscus sabdariffa (hibiscus) flowers, Calendula officinalis (calendula) flowers, Citrus aurantium (orange) flowers, Soaking Suds [Dioscorea villosa (wild yam) leaf aqueous extract, Decyl Glucoside, Lauryl Glucoside, and Butyrospermum parkii (Shea Butter)], honey powder, Vitis vinifera (grapeseed) oil, and Citrus aurantium amara (neroli and bitter orange) essential oil.

Each of these individual ingredients has been carefully selected to offer something special, and when combined, the therapeutic properties of these ingredients make for an especially calming Soak.

Himalayan Salt

The Himalayan Salt from this SoakingPot Soak is harvested from ancient sea salt deposits found in the Salt Range of northern Pakistan. Himalayan salt is high in magnesium, a mineral that can be absorbed through skin cells and promotes calming of the nervous system. When combined with warm water in a foot soak or bath, this extraordinarily beneficial ingredient melts away tension and stress.

Dead Sea Salt

Another salt used in the Orange Honey Blossom Soak is Dead Sea Salt. As the name implies, this salt is harvested from the southern Dead Sea in Israel, where the concentration of minerals is the highest. Unlike most oceanic salts, Dead Sea salt is rich in magnesium, potassium, and calcium. When used topically, these minerals calm the nervous system to ease stress and promote deep relaxation.

Organic Hibiscus Flowers

Hibiscus sabdariffa, or hibiscus, is a variety of flower that offers nourishing qualities when used on the skin. Hibiscus is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help to protect and soothe the skin.

We source our organic hibiscus flowers from Egypt, and it’s important to note that hibiscus may be intercropped with peanuts and therefore may contain peanut or shell fragments.

Organic Calendula Flowers

This botanical remedy has been used for thousands of years – and for good reason! Calendula officinalis, or calendula, is a flower with anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and healing properties.

The organic calendula petals that we use come from Egypt, a place where the flowering plant thrives. Please note that calendula belongs to the same family as ragweed, daisies, and marigolds, and should be avoided if you are allergic to these types of flowers. (1)

Dried Orange Blossom Flowers

The Orange Honey Blossom Soak is designed to provide a calming citrusy aroma from orange blossom flowers that come from the bitter orange (Citrus aurantium) tree. We use dried orange blossoms, also known as neroli, from Spain to enhance the aromatic and soothing effect of this SoakingPot exclusive Soak.

Soaking Suds

It’s not easy to source a high-quality, fast-acting bubble bath that maintains its suds. We use Alaffia® EveryDay Shea Bubble Bath – Unscented. This bubble bath is sulfate-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free, and is handcrafted with fair trade and plant-based ingredients like unrefined shea butter and soothing African yams. (2)

Alaffia® is a For Life certified organization by ECOCERT as well as a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), meaning it is a minority-owned, managed, and controlled business dedicated to corporate social responsibility. The brand name itself – Alaffia – is a Yoruba word meaning a state of peace, health, harmony, calm, and well-being.

Honey Powder

Originally, we used actual honey in this Soak. As you can imagine, it was a sticky and uncooperative nightmare! Now, we use a honey powder from the United States to keep skin moisturized and radiant without the unwanted stickiness.

Grapeseed Oil

Grapeseed oil is extracted from the seeds of grapes of the common grape vine, Vitis vinifera. This oil is high in vitamin E and helps keep skin hydrated and soft. The grapeseed oil we use in our Orange Honey Blossom Soak is from Italy, a world-renowned grape-growing nation.

Neroli Essential Oil

Neroli oil is an essential oil extracted from the blossoms of bitter orange trees (Citrus aurantium var. amara). It has a floral, sweet, and citrusy scent that, when inhaled, may help the brain release serotonin. Aromatherapy with neroli oil reduces the stress hormone cortisol, providing a calming effect that can help combat depression and anxiety. (3)

Did you know that neroli is one of the more expensive essential oils? It retails for over $245 per fluid ounce. This is because it takes roughly 111 to 124 pounds of orange blossoms to produce just one fluid ounce of essential oil! For our Orange Honey Blossom Soak, we use neroli essential oil sourced from Morocco.

Bitter Orange Essential Oil

The Orange Honey Blossom Soak uses Citrus aurantium not one, not two, but three different ways! In addition to including dried orange flowers and neroli oil derived from those blossoms, this Soak also features Brazilian bitter orange essential oil that comes from the peel of the fruit. The bitter and citrusy scent of bitter orange essential oil is used for its mood-lifting quality.

Keep Calm and Carry On

The SoakingPot is a wonderful place to calm both body and mind. We offer the Orange Honey Blossom as a standard one-hour Soak or a 30-minute Express Soak in our spa. The Orange Honey Blossom Soak is a calming experience on its own, but we’ve compiled a few suggestions to truly make the most of your Soak:

  • Plan your visit strategically for a time that makes sense for your life. Trying to fit in an appointment in the middle of a hectic day might feel more stressful for you or be exactly what you need to feel calm.

  • Make an appointment alone or alongside someone with whom you can share a moment of quiet.

  • Consider booking a 20-minute Head-Neck-Shoulder add-on treatment to fully de-stress.

  • Choose a decaffeinated herbal tea to pair with your Soak. A complete drink menu is available when you check in, and our receptionist can help you make the best selection for a comforting beverage.

  • Turn off your devices and utilize our lockers to store your phone away during your Soak.

Alternatively, this signature Soak is available in our shop to try at home or gift to someone. Options include our 10.5 oz Jar, our Mini Soak, or a Sample Soak. Pair with cozy pajamas, a relaxing beverage, and calming music or a guided meditation to enhance your at-home Soak.

Guest Impressions

Brittany R. shared that the “orange blossom foot soak and 20-minute add-on massage is the perfect pregnancy combo,” while Lorraine P. wrote, “This was absolutely amazing. I had a great orange and honey foot soak for an hour and a 20-minute neck and shoulder massage. Absolutely 100% worth it. I loved that two people could do this at the same time. The tea was a nice touch. And I loved the warm refill of water every 10 minutes. Such a nice, great, wonderful experience!! Definitely will do this again when the kids are skiing!”
